Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Haven Apartments

January 23rd brought a lot more than just a beautiful sunshiny day!  Early this past week, some of the Milbrandt team was fortunate enough to attend an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly completed Haven Apartments in Port Orchard, Washinton.  The community developer, Tarragon, put on the event, and attendees included several Tarragon staff, The Mayor or Port Orchard, Rob Putaansuu, and other city staff, as well as other contractors who worked on this beautiful project.

We kicked off the celebration by doing a site tour, which was great for all to see how each piece of this little community flowed and fit together.  Once the tour had ended, everyone gathered in the complex’s “Central Park” area.  This area was designed as a three seasons pavilion, offering covered shelter, community outdoor kitchens, tables, chairs, fire pits, and an overall great place to get together.  There, Mayor Putaansuu gave a few words on how much the Haven Apartments would positively impact the city of Port Orchard.  He even mentioned how he was trying to get a family member to move into the apartment complex; that’s how much he liked it!  After a few chuckles from the crowd and some words from the Tarragon president, it was finally time to cut the ribbon!

After the ribbon cutting, we were all escorted back into the clubhouse for a delicious lunch provided by Wanderlust NW Catering and more networking.

Overall, it was an afternoon well spent celebrating such a beautiful project that the Milbrandt team is proud and thankful to be a part of.
